Sir Alex Ferguson's apprehension over fielding diminutive Argentina international Carlos Tevez on a regular basis may have unwanted repercussions as the Express believe the player's representatives are touting the striker around Europe with the hope of attracting interest in a forward who, at 25, still has his best years ahead of him.
Tevez initially signed for Ferguson's Manchester United side in August 2007 on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the period, but the Scottish boss is yet to cement a permanent interest in Tevez.
The former Boca ace, whose solitary strike for West Ham United at the end of the 2006-07 season sunk Manchester United at Old Trafford and kept the Hammers in the Premier League, is estimated to fetch a fee around £30 million.
Interest in Tevez would no doubt be high. According to various press reports that emanated from the most recent transfer window, La Primera heavyweights Real Madrid, together with Serie A giants Internazionale, had expressed numerous signs that they would like to add the player to their ranks. Both, crucially, could also afford the transfer fee and wages, too.
