ProEvents, official tour organiser of United's Asia Tour 2009, has issued the following statement:
"Today we have been informed of several China-based internet sites that have stated that they have been appointed to sell tickets for the upcoming Manchester United match in China this summer.
"As the official tour organiser of the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 we wish to make clear that NONE of these sites, sales points or sales agents have permission from us to represent, sell or distribute tickets for this match.
"All official announcements relating to the match including details of dates and ticket information will be made by us through official channels in the near future.
"We kindly ask that all football fans and our friends in the media to look at our own website (www.proevents.com) or the official Manchester United websites or call the ProEvents office for further information.
"ONLY tickets sold through official channels will gain you entrance to the stadium. Please be careful and only “surf” official websites.
"Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at one of the matches."
Details of United's four Asia Tour matches will be announced in due course on the club's five official websites, including the English site at www.manutd.com/tour.
